Job Role:

A Junior Quality Assurance Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring software applications and systems meet customer specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications to identify bugs and verify functionality
  • Develop comprehensive test cases and scripts to execute testing procedures efficiently
  • Report identified defects through a designated tracking system and collaborate with the development team for prompt resolution
  • Perform regression testing to ensure previously resolved issues do not recur
  • Work closely with the development team to comprehend software requirements and provide constructive feedback on design and implementation
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, and quality assurance processes
  • Assist in creating and maintaining high-quality test documentation, including test plans, cases, and data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience with test case design, execution, and defect reporting
  • Basic understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
