Job Summary

This position involves performing specialized local accounting activities for multinational entities, engaging with various stakeholders, and supporting activities such as project support, month-end AP report sign-off, local GAAP statutory accounts, tax compliance, and acting as the key contact for AP-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Collaborate with global and local teams on various initiatives, ensuring timely completion and meeting business objectives.
  • Month-End AP Report Sign-Off: Review and prepare month-end AP reports in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Local GAAP Statutory Accounts: Generate local GAAP statutory accounts and manage statutory audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Compliance: Support local tax compliance and government reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Main Contact for AP-Related Matters: Serve as the primary point of contact for AP-related matters for China & APAC entities, providing guidance and support as needed.
Monthly Accounting Close Review and Sign-Off
  • Pre-Close Review: Perform pre-close review of monthly AP accounts prepared under GAAP, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Satellite Accounting Teams Support: Provide support to satellite accounting teams across process areas, ensuring seamless execution and meeting business objectives.
  • IC AP Transactions Reporting and Follow-Up: Manage IC AP transactions reporting and follow-up, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of issues.
Local Statutory Accounts and Tax Reporting
  • Internal and Statutory Financial Reports: Prepare internal and statutory financial reports for AP, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Timely Filing of AP Accounts: Ensure timely filing of AP accounts with local authorities, meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Statutory Audits and Vendor Confirmations: Support statutory audits and vendor confirmations, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
GAOC Finance / Accounting Coordination
  • Relationship Building: Establish relationships with GAOC and satellite teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Finance Functions Liaison: Act as the key contact with GAOC for finance functions, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Process Standardization: Work on standardizing AP and ER processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Process Improvement
  • Identifying Areas for Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in collaboration with global process owners, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Manage ad-hoc projects related to AP/ER evolution, ensuring timely completion and meeting business objectives.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; professional qualification preferred.
  • Years of Experience: Have 5-8 years of experience in AP, preferably in multinational corporations.
  • International Education or Big 4 Experience: Possess international education or Big 4 experience, preferably with SAP, Oracle, Concur, HFM, TM1.

  • Collaboration with External Providers and Auditors: Ability to collaborate with external providers and auditors, ensuring seamless execution and meeting business objectives.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ensuring efficient execution and meeting business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree.
  • Years of Experience: Have 4+ years in finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Advanced Degrees May Substitute for Work Experience: Advanced degrees may substitute for work experience (Master's = 1 year, Doctorate = 2 years).
