Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled web developer to create innovative solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing reusable Web-based tools for progressive online activism and community building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines.
  • Produce project estimates during sales process, including expertise required, total number of people required, and development hours required.
  • Attend client meetings during sales process and development.
  • Collaborate with clients and project managers to build graphic designs for websites using strong skills in Photoshop or equivalent application(s).
  • Convert raw images and layouts from graphic designers into CSS/XHTML themes.
  • Determine architecture and other technical solutions, making relevant recommendations to clients.
  • Communicate project progress and/or delays to project managers with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Pursue outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients.
  • Alert colleagues to emerging technologies and applications, integrating them into operations and activities.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or significant equivalent experience.
  2. 3+ years of experience with HTML/XHTML and CSS.
  3. 2+ years of web programming experience, including .NET, PHP, ASP, or JSP.
  4. 1+ year of experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL, or Oracle, and good working knowledge of SQL.
  5. Development experience using extensible web authoring tools.
  6. Experience developing and implementing open source software projects.
  7. Strong self-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
