Position Summary

Job Description:

Seeking an accomplished academic leader to spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive educational curricula in Reproductive Health, ensuring alignment with latest academic standards and practices.

As a key member of our faculty, you will design innovative research programs, secure funding through grant writing and proposals, and participate in ongoing research endeavors. You will also leverage national and international funding opportunities to support Reproductive Health research projects and training programs.

With your expertise, you will identify and advocate for policies supporting reproductive and child health, engaging with policymakers and stakeholders to influence decision-making processes. Additionally, you will act as a pivotal contact for provincial and district governments, facilitating the translation of research findings into actionable strategies that improve maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive educational curricula for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students in Reproductive Health.
  • Design innovative research programs in Reproductive Health, secure funding through grant writing and proposals, and actively participate in ongoing research endeavors.
  • Lead the establishment of successful research projects and training programs, leveraging national and international funding opportunities.
  • Advocate for policies supporting reproductive and child health, engaging with policymakers and stakeholders to influence decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate the translation of research findings into actionable strategies that improve maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes.
Requirements:

You should possess:

  • A degree in Public Health with a specialization in Population Studies/Reproductive Health from a reputable and recognized institution.
  • At least 10 years (or more) of teaching and research experience at a recognized university or postgraduate institution.
  • Proven track record of professional achievements, including publications, successful grant writing, and impactful research in the field.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with a deep knowledge of research administration within educational settings.
  • Exceptional teaching abilities, with a deep knowledge of innovative teaching methodologies tailored to diverse student needs.
  • Excellent command of both verbal and written English and Urdu, with additional proficiency in local/regional languages considered a valuable asset.
  • Strong academic writing skills, capable of producing scholarly articles and grant proposals that meet high academic standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to build and sustain effective teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant computer software packages essential for research, teaching, and administrative duties.
