Job Title: Senior Coordinator – Research, Learning and Evaluation

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research studies, analyzing data, developing research manuscripts, and providing grant writing support.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct relevant activities for ongoing research studies, including fieldwork.
  2. Conduct both quantitative and qualitative data analysis for ongoing research studies.
  3. Develop research manuscripts, abstracts, and briefs for submission to journals and conferences.
  4. Support the executive team in programme conceptualization and logical framework analysis.
  5. Provide grant writing support to RLE and component managers by conducting literature reviews, developing indicators, and preparing drafts of grant proposals.
  6. Facilitate all components in the development of quantitative and qualitative tools for collecting data for needs assessments, baseline studies, and output and impact level evaluations studies.
  7. Support the RLE team in any monitoring and evaluation tasks, including field visits.
  8. Support the RLE team in any reporting activities, including developing donor and annual reports.
  9. Participate and represent the organization at national and international forums, events, and meetings as directed.
  10. Work with the RLE team to ensure that Aahung's M&E system is implemented.
  11. Provide any other support to component managers and Aahung management as and when required.

Core Competencies:

  1. Demonstrates commitment to SRHR and Aahung's mission, vision, and values.
  2. Experience and understanding of sexual and reproductive health and sexuality issues.
  3. Experience and understanding of adolescent sexual and reproductive health and sexuality issues.
  4. Experience and understanding of human rights, reproductive rights, and sexual rights.
  5. Familiarity with concepts such as empowerment, stigma, discrimination, non-judgmentalism, gender, and social justice.
  6. Displays culture, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age sensitivity and adaptability.
  7. Familiarity with reproductive health indicators and situation in Pakistan.
  8. Familiarity with relevant international documents such as the MDGs, ICPD, the Beijing Conference, etc., and Pakistan's commitments to them.
  9. Demonstrable commitment to working with empowerment of sexually marginalized groups (gay, lesbian, transgender, transgender, HIV positive, etc.).
  10. Respect for confidentiality and ability to adhere to confidentiality policies.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree (Minimum requirement).
  2. Minimum two years' experience of working in monitoring and evaluation, or academic research project/s on issues related to health, rights, gender, and sexuality.
  3. Understanding of monitoring and evaluation systems and data collection in public health.
  4. Experience in report writing (writing sample will be requested during interview process).
  5. Outstanding written and spoken English skills.
  6. Exceedingly strong documentation and writing skills.
  7. Bilingual in spoken English and Urdu.

Skills:

  1. Knowledge of research theories and methods and creativity in their application.
  2. Familiarity with designing research studies and developing data collection tools.
  3. Experience with IRB review process and publishing research findings.
  4. Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection.
  5. Strong data management and analytical background for both quantitative and qualitative data.
  6. Strong documentation and record keeping skills.

Working Conditions:

Flexibility to travel locally and internationally, comfort with field work.
