Medical Receptionist Role

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills, and proficiency in computer usage and basic applications.

A Medical Receptionist is responsible for verifying and processing laboratory tests prescribed by doctors, briefing patients on laboratory tests and procedures, and distributing laboratory test reports after verifying necessary details.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Verify and process laboratory tests prescribed by doctors.
    • Brief patients on laboratory tests and procedures to ensure accurate specimen collection.
    • Distribute laboratory test reports after verifying necessary details.
    • Handle cash and credit transactions, maintaining records according to policy.
    • Confirm test requirements with patients and provide verbal/written instructions for correct specimen collection.
    • Address telephonic and in-person inquiries regarding laboratory tests and schedule appointments for special tests.
    • Perform duties as a Phlebotomist at collection points as required.
Requirements
  • At least two years of relevant work experience, including one year as a Phlebotomist.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and basic applications.
  • Adequate knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Flexibility to perform shift duties.
