Global Fellows Program Overview

The Global Fellows program in the Communication & Design department is an exciting opportunity for experienced designers to teach and mentor students.

Candidate Requirements:
  • A terminal degree in interaction design, user experience design, human-computer interaction, or related fields is required.
  • Applicants should have a background in service design, systemic design, industrial design, communication design, architecture, or similar fields with relevant professional or research experience.
  • Strong visual design skills and the ability to create original, creative work informed by critical research are essential.
  • Candidates should have experience designing interactions, interfaces, and experiences beyond screens and be familiar with relevant design practices and pedagogy, especially in the Global South.
  • Experience in a liberal arts environment is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
  • Teaching undergraduate courses (4 courses annually) and mentoring students.
  • Supervising student research and collaborating on curriculum development.
  • Delivering public seminars and enriching the curriculum.
