Job Title: Data Analyst - Regulatory Reporting

Job Summary:
Cybernetic Controls is a fast-growing regulatory technology company on a mission to help financial institutions achieve accurate regulatory reporting. We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team to work onsite, covering data analysis and some solutions development with plenty of room to develop your skills and experience.

The successful candidate will be exposed to a variety of trade reporting regulations with the opportunity to build a comprehensive understanding within this niche space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed analysis across a broad range of data sources, producing timely and concise results
  • Execute test runs on client data
  • Oversee the running of test runs on client data
  • Data ingestion, manipulation, and cleansing
  • Potentially liaise with clients to understand their data and business requirements for their specific use case
  • Write detailed and succinct reports for clients and internal purposes
  • Work to understand trade regulations to further innovate our existing industry-leading services
  • Collaborate with other analysts and developers in the team to create and maintain reliable, scalable, flexible data solutions
  • Analyse data issues or queries raised by clients and work with experts in the regulations to agree a response for the client issue
  • React to problems or issues in a timely fashion, ensuring minimum disruption to service
  • Support the Data Specialist and Delivery Manager and the Delivery Team Leaders in delivering client engagements
  • Uphold and ensure high levels of client data security, whilst following Kaizen's information security policies


Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
  • Proficient or preferably have a degree or above in Computer Science or Mathematics or a relevant subject (or equivalent experience within the workforce). Have technical knowledge and appreciation of the software development process
  • Pride yourself on having excellent problem-solving skills and high levels of common sense
  • Extremely comfortable and able with data, extracting the maximum value out of it
  • Can organise and prioritise your own workload, with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to analyse unique and bespoke datasets, ensuring a comprehensive understanding is achieved
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with an inquisitive eye for detail
  • Experience with a programming language such as Python or SQL
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, innovative environment
