Job Role

This Regional Content Lead position requires a seasoned journalist with expertise in managing teams and overseeing editorial content. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supervising reporters, covering local news, and collaborating with photographers and editors to produce high-quality articles.

You will be responsible for writing compelling stories on various topics, including local events, entertainment, and human interest stories. This role involves working closely with the news team to coordinate coverage, respond to breaking news situations, and develop engaging content.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with individuals from diverse backgrounds;
  • Foster strong relationships with contacts across multiple sectors to ensure a constant flow of news;
  • Investigate and develop stories using research, interviews, and other sources;
  • Collaborate with the news team to respond to breaking news situations and cover events;
  • Work closely with colleagues to create informative and engaging news content;
  • Utilize shorthand or technical equipment to record interviews and meetings;
  • Produce and upload news content for radio broadcast;
  • Promote live online reporting during significant events.
