Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

At a fast-growing FinTech company, we are seeking a skilled Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing valuable insights to support our Head of Finance in strategic decision-making.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Producing presentations & reports for executive, audit & board committees with business analysis and commentary based on business environment, peer group performance and the actual performance vs. budget
  • Assist and maintain the organization's financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Perform financial and operational performance metrics analysis to provide insights into trends, opportunities, and risks that impact the organization's financial performance.
  • Coordinate the budgeting process, working with various departments to set and monitor budgets, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Prepare financial analysis based on market research & conduct competitor benchmarking, market trends, and business initiatives to support decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Build and maintain financial models to simulate scenarios, evaluate potential investments, and assess the financial impact of strategic decisions.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results against budgets and forecasts, identifying discrepancies and providing explanations for variances.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, financial trends, and actionable insights.
  • Provide financial insights into revenue & cost allocations per segment, per product and per business project.
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify areas of cost savings, efficiency improvements, and revenue generation opportunities within the organization.
  • Assist HOF in developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
  • Monitor the accuracy of financial forecasts, continuously improving forecasting methodologies and processes to enhance accuracy and reliability.
  • Ensure financial compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies, maintaining the integrity of financial data and reporting.

Requirements:

  • A Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong analytical and constructive mindset, with special attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to drive financial commentary for HOF & management.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or Business.
  • Professional Certifications in Financial modeling, e.g.: FMVA or aspiring CFA will be advantageous.
