Medical Billing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently handling medical billing processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assign accurate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for timely reimbursement.
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payer requirements.
  • Monitor outstanding claims and follow up with insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
  • Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately in the billing system.
  • Generate patient statements and assist patients with payment plans as needed.
  • Stay updated with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Biller in a healthcare setting or similar role.
  • Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and insurance billing procedures.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and privacy regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other relevant plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
