Job Description:

The Warehouse Operations Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating the warehouse functions. This includes training and assisting warehouse leads and workers, generating and reviewing operational reports, and providing support with human resource issues.

  • Supervise and train the workforce to ensure adequate coverage during heavy volumes or schedule conflicts.">
  • Communicate with senior supervisors and department managers to coordinate daily work volumes, labor schedules, and projects.">
  • Oversee processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and customer compliance.">
  • Utilize workflow procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite tasks to floor employees, assigning duties and examining work for exactness and adherence to policies and procedures.">
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance daily, suggesting additional training or corrective action as required.">
  • Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping and carrier specifications, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules.">

Qualifications and Skills:

">

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, and 5-7 years of related industry experience. They should also have knowledge of distribution warehouse shipping and receiving functions, proficiency in PC applications such as email, word processing, and excel, as well as operating skills with computer systems, printers, and hand-held terminals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with current certification in OSHA Forklift Training.
