Teaching Faculty Member

We are seeking a qualified and experienced teaching faculty member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to teach effectively in a classroom setting.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, developing and implementing lesson plans, and assessing student progress. They will also be expected to contribute to departmental activities, such as curriculum development and committee work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching: Teach assigned courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students, using a range of teaching methods and technologies to engage students and promote learning.
  • Course Development: Develop and implement effective lesson plans, assessments, and evaluation tools to measure student learning outcomes.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students, including academic advising, mentoring, and counseling.
  • Departmental Contributions: Contribute to departmental activities, such as curriculum development, research projects, and committee work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Optometry or Orthoptics or a related field.
  • Proven teaching experience at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
