Job Opportunity for Overseas Program Director

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee our programs in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and build staff capacity in our country offices. The ideal candidate will have experience with education in refugee communities and long-term programmatic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the timely and accurate implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Capacity building for country NGO staff, including human resource development and community organizing.
  • Developing and implementing an annual work plan and travel plan.
  • Negotiating partnerships with donor organizations and local NGOs.
  • Enhancing communication linkages between Barakat USA and country offices.
  • Strengthening ties between Barakat Pakistan and Barakat Afghanistan programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from a reputable university in international development or a related field.
  • Pakistani or Afghan national based in their home country.
  • Ability to travel extensively between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
  • Demonstrable commitment to education for girls and women in South Asia.
  • Language skills: fluency in English, Urdu, and Dari.
