Accountant Role

Description:

This is a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data in SAP and GCAP systems. The position involves collaboration with a team of accountants and interaction with various stakeholders, including controllers, finance users, business analysts, and others.

The Accountant plays a crucial part in creating and modifying master data for cost centers, cycles, and assessment cycles according to business needs.

  • Create and modify master data for cost centers, cycles, and assessment cycles.
  • Perform end-to-end month-end closing activities, including cost center cycle run and plant closing.
  • Update plan data in SAP based on provided information.
  • Generate reports comparing plan vs. actual for various functions.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities:

Tasks:
  • Prepare monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, variance analysis, and financial performance reports.
  • Develop trend and flux analysis reports for regulatory filings.
  • Prepare cash flow reports and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
  • Maintain general ledgers and perform complete accounting cycles in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Collaboration and Stakeholders:

Working Together:
  • Support onshore teams with SARM and Manufacturing Overhead accounting.
  • Participate in business meetings and resolve issues.
  • Respond to management queries with accurate data.

Operational Control and Compliance:

Adhering to Policies:
  • Implement controls to identify issues proactively.
  • Adhere to DuPont's internal control policies and SOX compliance.

Required Skills:

Essential Qualifications:
  • CA (Inter), CWA (Inter), or MBA with 5-6 years of experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced SAP knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting principles.
