School Leadership and Academic Excellence Director
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Principal to lead our educational institution in delivering high-quality education. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting academic excellence, developing a culture of continuous learning, and ensuring effective teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote high standards of evidence-based learning and teaching by monitoring school progress across key performance indicators.
- Develop and implement a school improvement plan based on needs analysis.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-quality teachers through implementation of the Teacher Selection process.
- Monitor classroom quality through lesson planners and formal/informal classroom observations.
- Work with teachers to improve their skills and knowledge through demo sessions and constant feedback.
- Monitor student performance by reviewing student copies and test papers.
- Organize and manage co-curricular activities, timetable, assembly, periods, displays, library, and laboratories.
- Attend training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty members.
- Conduct term tests and examinations in a transparent and timely manner.
- Build team spirit and motivate teachers to deliver high-quality education.
- Develop strong relationships with the community and promote education for both male and female children.
- Ensure required student strength is maintained within the school.
- Coordinate with HR teams for staff hiring, retention, performance management, and other HR-related matters.
- Maintain school discipline and encourage positive character building of students and staff.
- Manage staff leaves and attendance to minimize empty classroom days.
- Supervise the admin assistant in accounts and other matters.
- Maintain accurate records of school accounts and ensure they are up to date.
- Ensure maintenance of building and premises.
- Supply and manage utility services in a timely manner.
- Understand and implement TCF policies in school activities.
- Submit reports and documents in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the supervisor for board-related matters.
