Senior Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data professional to join our team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and optimize complex data architectures that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration solutions using SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
  • Architect and implement robust data models and solutions that support reporting and analytics needs, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Maintain SQL Server Reporting Services while transitioning legacy reporting to modern platforms such as Power BI.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions that drive business insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and quality by implementing effective governance, security, and compliance measures.
  • Develop and support high-performance querying solutions using Delta Lake and serverless SQL environments.
  • Implement version control and CI/CD pipelines using Git or other similar tools.
  • Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimizing existing data infrastructure to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Drive the adoption of Azure data services and related cloud technologies across the data engineering team.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning expertise for SQL and data integration solutions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks or MS Fabric.
  • Proficient in SQL development, including stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Extensive experience with ETL development and data integration from various sources including SQL, DB2, MySQL, Azure Blob, and APIs.
  • Expertise in designing and optimizing data models.
  • Hands-on experience with SSRS and the ability to modernize legacy reporting by transitioning to Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Azure core services, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data governance and best security practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Atlassian JIRA for managing tasks and workflows.
  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and deployment automation tools.
  • Proven ability to architect scalable data solutions that drive business objectives and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in data engineering roles, with a track record of successful data project implementations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
