About the Role

We're looking for a skilled data leader to oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure.


This is a remote full-time position responsible for designing, building, testing, optimizing, and maintaining the infrastructure and code required for data integration, storage, processing, pipelines, and analytics from ingestion to consumption.


Our ideal candidate will have expertise in designing scalable and efficient data architectures, ensuring high data quality, and implementing data flow controls.


Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, deploy, test, and maintain highly scalable and efficient data architectures.
  2. Ensure the scalability, reliability, quality, and performance of data systems.
  3. Mentor and guide junior/mid-level data engineers on best practices for data management.
  4. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Scientists, and Analysts to understand data requirements and develop data solutions.
  5. Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve data integration, data processing, and analysis.
  6. Take ownership of storage layer, data management tasks, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
  7. Swiftly address and resolve complex data engineering issues and incidents.
  8. Conduct discovery on existing data infrastructure and proposed architecture.
  9. Continuously learn and expand skills in data engineering and cloud platforms to improve and modernize existing data systems.
  10. Define and document data engineering architectures, processes, and data flows.
