Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior In-House Counsel to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing dedicated legal support to functional departments, including consultation, advice, contract review and negotiation.

The role will be responsible for both day-to-day operational activities as well as strategic initiatives and projects. You will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, report directly to the Head of Contracts, and provide high-quality legal services that meet business needs.

  • Draft and review contracts, negotiate with counter parties, and provide clarifications to ensure mutual agreement.
  • Provide legal assistance to internal stakeholders after carefully understanding the business context surrounding the contract.
  • Support the organization in achieving compliance with laws and policies, offer a legal view on various matters, and provide opinions and legal advice to personnel at all levels.
  • Recognize when issues require specialist legal support and obtain such support to ensure maximum benefit for the company without incurring unnecessary costs.
  • Engage in training of relevant business personnel on legal developments, contract management, and policies/procedures owned by or supported by the Legal function.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Law (LLB/LLM/Bar at Law) with at least 5-7 years working experience in an in-house legal team or law firm/chamber.
  • Knowledge of the legal framework especially company and telecom laws in Pakistan.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience in stakeholder management.
  • Coming up with legal solutions focused towards delivering real-time business value.
  • Strong writing skills.
