Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator with expertise in Azure SQL. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in database administration, specifically with Azure SQL. They will possess a deep understanding of SQL, T-SQL, and database design principles. Additionally, they should be familiar with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries, backup and recovery strategies, and exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems on Azure SQL, monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance, managing backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and security, collaborating with software development teams to optimize database queries, conducting regular database maintenance and updates, and preparing documentation related to database procedures and processes.

Responsibilities include:
  • Acquainting As-Is SQL Server DB structure on premises
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems on Azure SQL.
  • Monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Managing backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Collaborating with software development teams to optimize database queries.
  • Conducting regular database maintenance and updates.
  • Preparing documentation related to database procedures and processes.
