The Chief Manager will be responsible for reviewing and finalizing monthly meter reading plans for domestic, industrial, and commercial consumers in their respective billing zones.
- Review and finalize monthly meter reading plans for domestic, industrial, and commercial consumers.
- Reduce the number of disputed cases, bill segment errors, and unbilled cases.
- Manage departmental operational, technical, budgetary, HR, regulatory, and legal matters, including sales and UFG reporting and projections.
- Analyze the billing process, including unregistered volume realization, PUG, slow and sticky meter adjustments, and test report analysis.
- Conduct monthly readings and surveys for premise status, tampering/theft, and rehabilitation cases.
- Play a strategic role in UFG reduction, including negative pressures, tempering/PUG/slow meter adjustments, and leftover case analysis.
- Manage GIDC collection and reconciliation, tariff and tax matters, RLNG blended rates, customer classification, and defaulter issues.
- Provide quality services to customers and resolve their queries efficiently, including PMDU, Ombudsman, Court, and OGRA.
- Develop comprehensive strategies for UFG reduction and increased SBU sales.
- Oversee and coordinate various policies/measures to control gas theft through new technologies and vigilant monitoring teams, and plan/arrange raids at suspected gas pilferage points in coordination with relevant departments.
- Monitor and analyze section-wise and SMS-wise gas reconciliation reports, and monitor the percentage and trend of UFG losses in different zones, keeping the management informed through presentations and reports.
- Analyze/monitor sector-wise monthly gas sales trends, minimum billed consumers' cases, sticky meters, and provisional billing.
- Assist and present disputed cases to the Management Review Committee for resolving consumers' appeals after analyzing UFG loss data.
- Maintain close liaison with zones for implementing UFG policies.
- Manage, motivate, and train billing department staff.
- Make presentations to the BOD/Senior Management regarding billing and UFG activities and implementation status.
- Attend OGRA meetings and respond to queries regarding disputed gas theft cases and billing-related matters.
- Carry out due diligence of the section by acting as internal quality control check and overseeing internal & external audits of the section.
This role requires an MBA holder with at least 09 years of relevant experience and first-hand knowledge of UFG reduction mechanisms.
Requirements:To succeed in this challenging role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent
- No less than nine years of related work experience
- First-hand knowledge of UFG reduction methods and practices
- Solid analytical skills, especially in data analysis and problem-solving
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Presentation skills to effectively communicate results and recommendations
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with gas industry regulations, policies, and procedures
