Job Overview:

  • The primary role of this position is to ensure quality control among foods of all types.
  • This involves conducting food safety audits in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze audit plans and coordinate with clients as per shared agendas.
  • Adhere to food safety standards, protocols, and codes of conduct.
  • Maintain accurate records using updated checklists, forms, and tools.
  • Become a trusted partner by maintaining positive client relationships and responding to inquiries and concerns.
  • Submit high-quality audit reports within established timelines.
  • Address defects, concerns, and queries raised through reviewing channels in a timely manner.
  • Enhance competencies to maintain qualification for conducting audits.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest versions of applicable laws, regulations, statutory requirements, and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a university degree in a food-related discipline, such as biological sciences, food science, nutrition, agriculture, agribusiness, engineering, chemistry, or related fields.
  • Possess certification in LA courses on FSMS, HACCP, HALAL, FSSC, GG, BRCGc, Organic is an added advantage.
  • Have at least 3-4 years' experience in food and/or agricultural industries, including quality assurance, food safety functions, auditing, and/or farm management.
  • Be familiar with third-party certification processes.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Show well-developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Exhibit proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Database systems.
  • Be willing to travel up to 75%, mostly overnight travel throughout the country.
