About the Role

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of gas measuring equipment at industrial sites.

  • Key responsibilities include managing data acquisition systems for customer stations within a designated area.
  • The Chief Engineer will ensure proper functionality of remote monitoring equipment across customer and town border stations in the franchise area.
  • Designing Dashboards: The successful candidate will design user-friendly dashboards and screens for exceptions and consumption monitoring.
  • Responsibilities also include overseeing procurement of necessary spares and equipment related to remote monitoring.
  • Process Optimization: The Chief Engineer will drive proactive planning and scheduling processes to optimize manpower and resources.
  • The role involves developing, implementing, and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: The successful candidate will conduct root cause analysis, document problems, and coordinate with relevant departments for swift resolution.
  • Additionally, the Chief Engineer will coordinate and manage field activities related to installation, startup, maintenance, and operation of data acquisition equipment across the network.
  • Gas Management: Responsibilities include managing precise gas management, accurate measurement, and pressure adherence according to demand-supply analysis.
