Accounting Specialist for Restaurants

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to support our restaurant clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, with a focus on hospitality finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Manage vendor invoice processing, expense categorization, and payment scheduling to ensure timely payments and accurate financial records.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers tailored to restaurant operations, including food costs, labor costs, and overheads.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and POS system data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Liaison Role: Serve as the primary liaison for restaurant clients and their vendors regarding financial queries, billing disputes, and account clarifications.
  • Communication Skills: Build trust through clear, professional communication with both owners and operations managers.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver timely financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow forecasts, and customized performance snapshots.

Requirements:

  • Professional English Fluency: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accounting Experience: 2–3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably with restaurants, hospitality groups, or multi-location businesses.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting platforms like QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
