We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources and Administration Professional to lead our company's HR and administrative functions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail, with expertise in managing human resources and administrative activities.
Key Responsibilities- HR Functionality: Develop and implement effective human resources policies, programs, and practices that drive employee engagement and retention.
- Work Structure Management: Ensure alignment between job requirements and business objectives by reviewing and updating job descriptions for all positions.
- Talent Acquisition and Development: Establish and manage the recruitment process, including interviewing candidates, counseling managers on selection, and analyzing exit interviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Employee Engagement: Design and deliver training programs to prepare employees for assignments, promote skill development, and foster career growth.
- Compensation and Benefits: Conduct pay surveys, schedule job evaluations, prepare pay budgets, monitor individual pay actions, and recommend pay structure revisions to ensure fair compensation and benefits packages.
- Performance Management: Train managers to coach and discipline employees effectively, schedule management conferences, hear and resolve grievances, counsel employees and supervisors.
- Employee Benefits: Inform employees of available benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends, recommending benefit programs to management, directing benefit claims processing, and designing educational programs.
- Compliance and Governance: Monitor and implement applicable human resource federal and provincial requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
- Policies and Procedures: Prepare, update, and recommend human resource policies and procedures, maintaining management guidelines.
- Record Keeping: Design a filing and retrieval system, keeping past and current records, and maintaining historical human resource data.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and maintaining technical knowledge.
Candidates should possess a Master's degree (MBA) in Human Resources from a reputable university and have 3 to 5 years of related experience in a similar position. Demonstrated expertise in human resources and administration, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for success in this role.
