Job Title: Assistant Manager Indirect Taxation

   We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager Indirect Taxation to join our team.

  •    Department & Function: Finance
  •    Position: Assistant Manager Indirect Taxation
  •    Location: Islamabad
  •    Reporting to: Manager Taxation
  •    Job Type: Permanent

   This role primarily involves managing tax-related compliances and operations under the respective laws and assistance over managing tax litigations.

   The key responsibilities of this position include:

  •    Review of Income tax and FED/Sales tax payments: Reviewing income tax and FED/sales tax payments, income tax withholding statements, and FED/sales tax returns and statements for timely filing and deposit.
  •    Arranging information for tax return preparation: Coordinating with external counsel for preparation and filing of annual income tax returns and related refund applications for processing.
  •    Responding to Tax Notices: Responding to tax notices along with relevant information/documents, conducting smooth tax audits, and representing the company in tax matters.
  •    Coordination with legal department: Coordinating with the legal department/external counsel over provision of related documents, filing of appeals, stay applications, and references before respective forums.
  •    Provision of tax opinions: Providing tax opinions on contracts, products/promos, and business arrangements.
  •    Tax Accounting and CMCC reporting: Maintaining accurate tax accounting records and preparing CMCC reports on a monthly basis.
  •    Dissemination of tax changes: Disseminating tax changes to related functions and developing tax-related reports to refine processes.
  •    Liaison with industry and Tax Authorities: Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with industry and tax authorities.

Eligibility Criteria:

   Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or a part-qualified ACA, ICMA, ACCA is required.

   Work Experience: At least 6-7 years of experience in telecom-related tax compliance.

   Skills: Strong knowledge of income tax, FED, sales tax, and provincial sales tax on services laws, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills.
