The role of Internal Audit Manager involves leading the planning, execution, and reporting on operational, financial, regulatory-related audits/reviews. This includes providing advice on internal control to management and responding to questions on risk management techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan reviews/audits of financial, regulatory, compliance, or operational processes.
  • Coordinate work with Risk, Legal, and other control-related activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify controls in place to mitigate risks.
  • Perform audit procedures to verify control effectiveness through testing and interviewing techniques.
  • Analyze and conclude on the effectiveness and efficiency of the control environment.
  • Identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Document audit results in accordance with audit department and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
  • Prepare timely audit reports for executive management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors.
  • Evaluate and promote compliance with internal policies.
  • Provide advice on internal control and participate in enhancing internal audit standards and practices.
Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. Excellent understanding of IIA standards and ability to comply with them.
  2. Project management skills and ability to supervise auditors.
  3. Adaptability and ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple demands, and work with various stakeholders.
  4. Strong negotiation, relationship-building, problem-solving, and timely escalation skills.
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  6. Effective time management and organizational skills.
  7. Attention to detail with ability to understand the big picture.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and Visio; experience with ERP and SAP software is desirable.
