Mashreq Bank Pakistan Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Transaction Monitoring Executive.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Terrorist Financing (TF) compliance vision and risk mitigation strategy consistent with Mashreq Group's vision and strategy.

  • Contribute to the design and operational effectiveness of AML and TF policy measures and procedures that mitigate AML/TF risk for Mashreq Digital Bank.
  • Ensure local regulatory requirements on AML/TF and Mashreq Group requirements are incorporated in the design of AML policy and procedures.
  • Enable Business and Operations teams to understand AML/TF related risks and the procedures developed to mitigate those risks.
  • Provide AML related advisory on clients and CDD related matters to Business teams.
Responsibilities:

The Transaction Monitoring Executive will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement AML systems for Mashreq Digital Bank Pakistan, ensuring quality and suitability of data maintained in AML and CDD systems.
  2. Review and take decisions on Transaction Monitoring alerts in line with local policies and procedures.
  3. Handle the SAR reporting process for Mashreq Digital Bank Pakistan to the Financial Monitoring Unit.
  4. Assist in the performance of Risk Assessment as mandated by Mashreq Bank Policies and Local Regulatory requirements.
Requirements:

To be successful as a Transaction Monitoring Executive, you will require:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders including senior officers both within country and Mashreq Group.
  • Good understanding of AML/TF risks and global trends around AML/TF risk mitigation.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory landscape on AML and Terrorist Financing.
