Grants and Projects Associate Position

The Grants and Projects Associate is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for maintaining and optimizing grants-related data processes and procedures.

This involves seeking out national and international grant opportunities, developing proposals in collaboration with faculty members, managing communication with funding organizations, and liaising with the Office of Research for compliance and timely submission of grant applications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and seek out funding opportunities, including grants, consultancies, and sponsorships.
  • Regularly track national and international calls for proposals aligned with the Centre's strategic vision and maintain a grant database.
  • Draft Expression of Interest (EOI) forms for faculty members based on donor/funding body requirements and manage call for EOIs.
  • Collaborate with faculty PIs/consultants to conceptualize project design, draft proposal, identify project partners, develop M&E and budget, and consolidate grant application components.
  • Handle complete grant cycle from application stage to award stage.
  • Coordinate with LUMS Office of Research (OR) to gather documentation and manage Centre's applications on GAMES portal.
  • Facilitate team in conducting Centre's programmes and activities, as well as developing liaison with internal and external stakeholders to explore grant partnership/consortium opportunities.

  • Project coordination and implementation skills.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of writing grant applications and developing budgets.
