Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients or the organization.

Tax Planning and Compliance:

- Provide proactive tax planning advice to individuals, businesses, and organizations.

- Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and risks.

Client Consultation and Communication:

- Meet with clients to discuss their tax situation, goals, and concerns.

- Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner to clients or stakeholders.

Audit Support and Resolution:

- Assist clients or the organization in responding to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities.

- Represent clients in tax audits and examinations, if necessary.

Team Collaboration and Leadership:

- Collaborate with other members of the tax team, as well as professionals from other departments.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

- 4-5 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and consulting.

- Proficiency in tax software (Drake, Pro-Connect, Lacerte, Ultra-Tax, ATX etc.) and tools (e.g. Canopy, Sharepoint, TaxDome, Monday.com etc.).

- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
