Job Title:

Costing Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Costing Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in the costing process of pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for analyzing process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities.
  • Construct and monitor cost-effective data accumulation systems to provide appropriate costing information to management.
  • Post data in computerized accounting packages, especially Oracle, and verify purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies, and validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
  • Conduct ongoing process constraint analysis, and introduce cost reduction measures to improve efficiency.
  • Report on break-even points by products, work centres, and factories, and periodic variances and their causes.
Requirements:
  • ACMA / ACCA / CIMA (Partly qualified with relevant experience)
  • Knowledge of MS-Office and computerized accounting packages, especially Oracle
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of accounting and statutory requirements, laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules
