Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Research Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large data sets to inform business decisions.
Main Responsibilities• Develop and implement research methodologies to estimate crop yields and track market trends• Analyze and interpret data from various sources, including official reports and surveys• Identify areas for improvement in existing methodologies and implement changes as needed• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain databases and time series data• Create automation tools using macros, power pivot, and Python coding to streamline data analysis• Estimate cotton production areas and track supply and demand across the entire value chain• Highlight risks to supply and demand by working out various scenarios and assessing their impact on yields and associated probabilities• Conduct Gin, Mills & Farmers surveys and balance sheet reconciliation• Create comprehensive and user-friendly databases for cotton supply and demand estimates• Coordinate with Agronomists / regional teams for pressing surveys• Calculate demand/consumption of agri commoditiesRequired Skills and Qualifications• Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Maths & Economics / Statistics/Agricultural statistics/ Agri Business• 2-3 years' experience with the right skill sets; fresh graduates with the right skill set also encouraged to apply• Agri Commodities experience (preferable)Benefits• A dynamic and stimulating international environment that fosters growth and development• Access to training and development opportunities• Competitive salary and benefits package• Regular events that foster team engagementDiversity & InclusionLDC is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity, equity, and inclusion.SustainabilityAt LDC, we are passionate about creating fair and sustainable value for our business and stakeholders.
