A benefits and compensation professional is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering an organisation's rewards and benefit policies.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining the balance between cost control and attracting/retaining staff by monitoring the organisation's salary structure and benefits.
- Researching and analysing salary rates and benefits offered by other employers in the sector to identify competitive advantages/disadvantages.
- Ensuring fair pay differences within the organisation through job evaluations.
- Recommending changes to pension and insurance schemes to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Identifying causes of personnel problems and developing recommendations for improvement.
- Developing and implementing benefit packages that meet organisational objectives and comply with legal regulations.
- Negotiating with stakeholders on pay and benefits issues.
