A benefits and compensation professional is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering an organisation's rewards and benefit policies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintaining the balance between cost control and attracting/retaining staff by monitoring the organisation's salary structure and benefits.
  2. Researching and analysing salary rates and benefits offered by other employers in the sector to identify competitive advantages/disadvantages.
  3. Ensuring fair pay differences within the organisation through job evaluations.
  4. Recommending changes to pension and insurance schemes to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  5. Identifying causes of personnel problems and developing recommendations for improvement.
  6. Developing and implementing benefit packages that meet organisational objectives and comply with legal regulations.
  7. Negotiating with stakeholders on pay and benefits issues.
