Lead Drafter

Job Overview:
This role involves managing drafting projects independently and leading a team of draftsmen. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, drafting techniques, and quality control.

1. Manage Project Schedules: Develop and implement project schedules to ensure timely completion of drafting projects.
2. Drafting Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of drawings and 3D models produced by the team, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
3. Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and clients regarding project progress, issues, and requirements.
4. Budget Planning: Collaborate with the team to plan and manage budgets for drafting projects, adhering to company financial guidelines.
5. Talent Management: Lead and develop a team of draftsmen, providing training and mentorship to enhance their skills and performance.
6. Documentation Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of project progress, including reports, records, and other relevant information.

Qualification: A minimum of two years' diploma or DAE Mechanical qualification
CAD software skills, preferably Inventor, SolidWorks, Pro/E, and other relevant software.
Maintenance of knowledge regarding manufacturing processes and materials.
Familiarity with local engineering companies and mechanical workshops.
JIGS and FIXTURE design and detailing expertise.
Ability to lead projects from concept to completion and possess expertise in creating parts and assemblies models, detailed machine drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM generation, and other tasks.
