Job Overview

The role of an Agency Management Officer is to facilitate agencies in managing delinquent/charged off accounts, ensuring timely recoveries and maximum collection/recoveries.

  • Review and manage assigned agencies to collect/recover from delinquent customers.
  • Ensure follow ups are captured on the collection system and new contact details are updated as per process defined in the Agency Management Handbook.
  • Resolve daily queries from agencies to enable effective customer management and deal with objections.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of follow ups, actions taken, and progress made with clearly documented action plans.
  • Negotiate with customers based on numbers provided by agencies or through conference calls and direct interactions.
  • All customer interactions must be recorded and updated on the collections system, following approved communication formats.
  • Assist in tracking skips and help agencies find new contact details including MOL and other checks, focusing on improving the contactable base.
  • Identify and segregate accounts as Contactable and Non-Contactable, driving appropriate actions to maximize collection/recoveries.
  • Raise settlement requests post reviewing and ensure clearance letters and police case releases are provided once accounts are settled.
  • Perform periodic reviews in a structured manner and share with immediate supervisor and Collections/Recovery Manager.
  • Ensure agency assessments are done at regular intervals to assess performance, process control, and other aspects, tracking and closing identified corrective actions.
  • Recommend whether to terminate, continue, or expand relationships with empaneled agencies to Collection Manager/Recovery Manager Recovery and Sr. Manager Recoveries & HCCRD.
  • Visit agencies as required and adhere to agency visitation policy.
  • Ensure agency bills are submitted in a timely manner and assist CST in billing clarifications and payment invoice processing.
  • Help track customer repayments, especially overseas account transfers, ensuring timely credit to customer's account.
  • Ensure all agency staff are aware of the CODE OF CONDUCT and follow it, escalating any issues promptly.
  • Adhere to CPR guidelines and ensure awareness among Self and managed agencies.
  • Driving agency adherence to the Code of Conduct is a critical responsibility for an Agency Management Officer.
  • Evaluate negotiations performed by customer/third party & agency collectors, recommending necessary approvals to management.
  • Facilitate agencies to achieve monthly targets.
  • Report directly to Collection Manager/Manager Recoveries who reports to Sr. Manager Recoveries/Head CCRD.
  • Work effectively in a dynamic environment and operate in various business settings.
  • Interact internally with Collection Unit and stakeholders to meet objectives and enable agency effectiveness.
  • Collaborate within the team to meet individual and collective goals.
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum Graduate degree with 3 – 5 years banking experience
  • Collections/Recovery agency management in UAE is advantageous
  • High level of MS office knowledge is essential
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with capacity to work under pressure
  • Good command over English language (working knowledge of Arabic is advantageous)
