Microsoft EDR/XDR Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft EDR/XDR deployment and support specialist to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deploying and supporting Microsoft's Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deploy and configure Microsoft's EDR/XDR solutions for optimal security performance.
  2. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the deployed solutions, ensuring seamless integration and high availability.
  3. Analyze security events and alerts to identify potential threats and take proactive measures to prevent them.
  4. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the successful implementation and operation of the EDR/XDR solutions.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the deployment and operation of the solutions.
  6. Conduct regular security assessments and provide recommendations for improving the customer's security posture.
  7. Create and maintain accurate documentation related to the deployment, configuration, and support of the EDR/XDR solutions.
  8. Develop and deliver training sessions to educate IT staff on the use and optimization of the EDR/XDR solutions.

Required Skills And Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in deploying and supporting Microsoft's EDR/XDR solutions.
  3. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel, and related tools.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  8. Relevant certifications are highly valued.
