Job Description

A leading international business seeks a highly skilled Group Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is up for a challenge and looking to develop their career.

As a Group Accountant, you will play a key role in the month end process and general accounting activities for designated Holding companies. You will be involved in the accounting of various group subsidiaries, perform account reconciliations, financial analysis, and statutory reporting.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records with attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing activities of respective holding companies/subsidiaries as per accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform General Ledger reconciliations, Inter-company reconciliations, Balance sheet and P&L analysis with expertise in using MS Excel.
  • Assist in financial statement analysis, working closely with reporting managers on group deliverables.
  • Prepare workings for various accounting treatments as per IFRS.
  • Assist reporting managers during statutory audits of the respective holding entities.
  • Analysis of financial statements, help in report writing and prepare various reporting packs.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of financial and accounting operations and systems, procedures, and practices considering automation and improvement of business processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve overall objectives.
  • Review and verify expense recharges, supplier invoices, and inter-company transactions with strong attention to detail.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or ACCA Finalist.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' accounting and financial reporting experience in accounting or related role.
  • Detailed understanding and application of IFRS (including newly introduced standards).
  • Expertise in using MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of using Sage ERP (desirable).
  • Possess analytical, statistical, and numeracy skills including problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
