Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Laundry Operations Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laundry facility, ensuring high-quality services, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of supervising large teams. They will also have experience with laundry operations, uniform distribution techniques, and infection control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the laundry facility, including attendance, duty scheduling, staff affairs, and record-keeping.
  • Maintain departmental discipline and implement policies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Evaluate worker performance, identify areas for on-job training, and schedule tasks accordingly.
  • Supervise and maintain hygienic laundry washing quality by checking results, procedures, pH levels, and chemical dosing.
  • Monitor available resources to ensure cost consciousness and optimize production.
Requirements
  • 14 years of education or equivalent (B.Sc./B.Com/B.A).
  • Excellent communication skills and strong computer literacy.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience handling large teams.
  • 6-8 years of related field experience, including laundry operations and uniform/l linen distribution techniques.
  • Able to supervise workers and maintain good working morale.
  • Adequate knowledge about hospital laundry and infection control systems.
  • Knowledge of laundry chemicals (detergent, bleach, spotting chemicals).
  • Willing to perform shift duties.
