Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Category Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and profitability through effective category management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to inform strategic decisions and optimize product offerings.
  • Develop and implement long-term plans for product categories, including exit strategies for underperforming items, to ensure maximum ROI.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure better prices and services that meet our quality standards.
  • Ensure optimal product availability by placing timely orders and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Prioritize product visibility and positioning to maximize exposure and drive sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to set competitive pricing and promotional strategies that align with our business objectives.
  • Work closely with buyers and merchandisers to expand product offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts to sustain inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Lead budget development and revenue growth initiatives for assigned categories to drive business expansion.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have the following skills and qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience with software applications such as Candela and Abuzar, with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Strong negotiation, networking, and business development skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of invoices and taxation principles to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Ability to collect and analyze large data sets using Microsoft Office, with a focus on extracting insights and making informed decisions.
  • Solid judgment and decision-making abilities to navigate complex business situations.
  • Effective leadership capabilities to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
