Job Description:

Develop and execute Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs aligned with the EHS management system to meet GSK's strategic objectives, while adhering to the EHS policy and vision. Ensure compliance with local industry and government regulations, GSK and global standards, procedures, guidelines at the site, and ensure continuous EHS improvement in all work processes.

Ensure compliance of releases to environment from the facility's operations, in accordance with applicable regulatory limits and other relevant environmental discharge criteria. Compile and analyze data. Conduct and maintain investigation & reporting of EHS adverse events by all Departments.

Conduct EHS related training for down-the-line staff based on their training needs. Manage Process Safety and Hazardous Utilities Program and serve as a Process Safety Specialist. Manage all EHS local Legal Compliance.

Assist the EHS Manager and Site for implementation of safety initiatives and monitor progress against them at the site. Participate in different meetings and forums and provide useful inputs regarding existing EHS issues, and requirements, to achieve the corporate EHS goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in managing EHS within an organization. Experience should encompass various domains related to Health and Safety and engineering departments.
  • Moderate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and verbal skills.
  • ISO Lead Auditor or NEBOSH Certification is considered an advantage.
  • Must be well-versed with industry standards and code related to occupational safety and design.
