Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Corrosion Control Specialist to provide assistance in corrosion control activities on pipeline networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining corrosion control systems, ensuring the integrity of pipelines, and coordinating with government departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with government agencies to arrange necessary permissions for carrying out corrosion control jobs.
  2. Perform rectification/maintenance of installed corrosion control stations according to specified standards.
  3. Apply coating and wrapping to pipelines for optimal corrosion control operations.
  4. Participate in field tests, including Pipeline Current Mapping (PCM), Close Interval Potential Survey (CIPS), structure potential, Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG), soil resistivity, etc.
  5. Plan recoating/rectification of pipelines based on test/survey results.
  6. Assist in survey, design, and data collection.
  7. Create charts and tables, and present them to management.
  8. Prepare corrosion control designs, including anode type, quantity, and location; rectifier location, test station locations, and other design features.
  9. Install sacrificial anode systems for pipeline protection against corrosion and conduct post-installation surveys.
  10. Implement policies, procedures, and rules regarding corrosion control of assets and undertake required corrosion control work for pipelines and systems.
  11. Prepare survey reports and findings to highlight coating-related deterioration.
  12. Revalidate Pipeline Integrity Assessment and identify vulnerable sections.
  13. Plan and coordinate Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) and Fitness for Service (FFS) assessment and propose replacement plans for pressure equipment and pipeline.
  14. Purchase necessary materials and equipment in a timely manner.
  15. Monitor and check coating status on under construction and new pipeline projects.
