Piping Draftsman/Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to assume the role of Piping Draftsman/Designer. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in piping drafting/designing and be proficient in CAD software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed piping layouts, isometric drawings, and pipe support drawings using AutoCAD, CADWorx, Plant 3D, or similar software.
  • Create and update process flow diagrams, plot plans, general arrangements (GAs), and fabrication drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and clash-free solutions.
  • Analyze engineering specifications, piping material specifications (PMS), and vendor documents.
  • Participate in design reviews, model walkthroughs, and site surveys as required.
  • Evaluate compliance with relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
  • Generate material take-offs (MTOs) and assist with procurement documentation.
  • Implement design changes and revisions according to project requirements and mark-ups.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and revision control consistent with company standards and QA/QC procedures.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Architecture Engineering (DAE) and certification in drafting.
  • A minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in piping drafting/designing.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, 3D, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
  • Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, API, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
