Key Role Summary:

The Senior Physiotherapist/Senior Lecturer is a highly experienced and skilled professional responsible for leading the physiotherapy department, educating students, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Core Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Implement Treatment Plans: Develop individually tailored programs to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
  2. Train and Educate Staff: Educate patients and physiotherapy staff on preventive health care, curative health care, and behavior as appropriate.
  3. Collaborate with Health Professionals: Liaise with other health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary, holistic, and culturally sensitive approach to patient care is maintained.
  4. Supervise and Mentor: Supervise physiotherapists and interns in making decisions about physiotherapy treatment for patients and establishing communication channels.
  5. Teach and Guide Students: Deliver lectures and workshops to undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students, focusing on research methodologies, evidence-based practice, and advanced clinical topics.
  6. Support Research Projects: Guide students in their research projects, including proposal writing, data analysis, and publication processes.
  7. Maintain Records and Compliance: Maintain accurate patient progress records, fulfill statistical requirements, and contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of high-quality curriculum.
  8. Professional Development: Provide input and participate in the staff professional development program with particular regard to physiotherapy staff and students.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • BSPT/DPT, M.Sc.PT / MPhil with 8-10 years of experience as a Physiotherapist.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
