Design and Automation Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design and Automation Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in advancing process automation solutions across various industries, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, utilities, and renewable energy.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in integrated control systems, SCADA virtualization, wellhead automation, and telecommunications, with a focus on driving operational excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement hardware for specialized control systems, including distributed control systems (DCS), safety instrumented systems (SIS), and fire & gas systems (FGS).
  • Provide expertise in wellhead facilities, including wellhead control panels, skids, and solar systems.
  • Evaluate adherence to major industrial standards and apply a conceptual understanding of these standards throughout project phases.
  • Analyze and interpret customer specifications, including functional requirement specifications (FRS), piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), cause & effect diagrams (C&Es), drawings, narratives, and philosophies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical/electronics engineering or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in industrial automation and controls, with expertise in Allen Bradley, Yokogawa, and Honeywell systems.
  • Proven experience in hardware design for specialized control systems, including DCS, SIS, and FGS.
  • Strong understanding of industrial standards, instrumentation, and control system principles.
  • Hands-on experience with system testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site work, including commissioning and startup.
