We are seeking a diligent and organized individual with a passion for finance to assist in the coordination of all aspects of credit control. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts, processing payments, and providing support to the finance team.

The role involves collecting due and overdue debts, contacting customers when payment is overdue, and processing payments accurately. You will also be responsible for identifying potential bad debts and escalating them to the Credit Control manager as required.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the wider finance team and contribute to the reduction of invoice queries within the business. A high standard of customer service is expected at all times.

About the Role

  • Collecting due and overdue debts
  • Contacting customers when payment is overdue
  • Processing payments accurately
  • Identifying potential bad debts and escalating them to the Credit Control manager as required
  • Working closely with the wider finance team
  • Providing a high standard of customer service

Requirements

  • AAT qualification or working towards is desirable but not essential
  • Recently graduated with a BA Accounting and Finance, or similar
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and time management skills
  • Hands-on approach
  • Strong communicator with excellent inter-personal skills
  • Solid IT skills and be technology savvy
  • Ability to make decisions using good judgement both quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work under own initiative
