IMS Core Network Engineer

Hillcrest Solutions is seeking a highly skilled IMS Core Network Engineer to support their upcoming project in Pakistan.

This individual will be responsible for delivering and providing technical support for IMS core network products, including equipment commissioning and debugging, upgrade and cutover, troubleshooting, and HLD/LLD Design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) documents.
  • Deploy cloud core network elements.
  • Install and commission software.
  • Integrate network elements.
  • Migrate subscribers and traffic.
  • Patch upgrade and expand existing network elements.
  • Troubleshoot network issues.
  • Provide technical training, guidance, and communication for on-site maintenance engineers and customer engineers.

Routine Actions:

  • Support projects related to vIMS Core entities, such as P/I/S-CSCF, HSS, SLF, TAS (ATS), BGCF, MGCF, MRFC, MRFP, AGW, IBCF, and VoLTE.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of IMS Core related Projects.
  • Responsible for technical communication with the operator and provide relevant solutions with the support team to meet customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of Internet security frameworks like ISO 2000 and Security Framework Compliance.
  • Support projects based on different time zones according to project requirements.
  • Ready to travel anywhere as per business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in ECE, Computer Science (IT), or related fields.
  • Extensive experience with SIP Call processing and SIP Supplementary Services.
  • In-depth understanding of telecom protocols and technologies like SIP, SDP, H.248, MGCP, DIAMETER, TCP, IPSEC, and IP protocols.
  • Experience with TCP, IPSEC, and IP protocols.
  • Good conceptual understanding of IMS evolution and trends, including IMS Subsystems, functionalities, and IMS SIP Services call flows.
  • Working experience on IMS interworking entities (P/I/S-CSCF, HSS, SLF, TAS(ATS), BGCF, MGCF, MRFC, MRFP, AGW, IBCF) and interfaces.
  • Knowledge of Session Border Controller, NAT, Firewall, Authentication Encryption, L2 Layer switches (Routers/Switches).
  • Installation and commissioning experience.
  • HLD and LLD Designing experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud SAAS, IAAS, and PAAS.

Job Requirements:

Strong proficiency in LTE or 5G NR theoretical knowledge.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
