Mediclinic Victoria Nursing Position
We are seeking a qualified nurse to deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality patient care in collaboration with a multi-professional team, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Identify, prevent, and manage risks associated with patient care to ensure a safe environment.
- Create a positive patient experience by establishing a conducive environment that fosters trust and satisfaction.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions, adhering to relevant legislation and standards.
- Develop a learning environment that enhances staff competence, promoting continuous improvement and growth.
- Maintain accurate inventory and equipment management, ensuring efficient use of resources.
A degree or diploma in General Nursing is essential for this role.
Midwifery or postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty area is desirable, enhancing skills and expertise.Job Requirements:
No minimum work experience is required for this position, however, previous experience in a specialized unit is advantageous.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:- Infection prevention and control strategies.
- Pharmacological knowledge and principles.
- Scientific nursing principles and processes.
- Nursing record keeping and documentation.
- Patient assessment and evaluation skills.
- Nursing procedures and protocols.
- Basic computer literacy and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Nursing care plan development and modification.
- Relevant nursing legislation and regulations.
- Basic life support training (ACLS; ATLS; PALS).
- Risk identification and mitigation techniques.
