Health Systems Strengthening Specialist

Strengthening health systems to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a crucial aspect of global development. The Community Health Inspectors (CHI) initiative, aimed at operationalizing the outsourced CHI cadre through a standardised provincial framework, vendor management arrangements, and district rollout plans, presents a significant opportunity for growth.
The Mid Nationals Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will play a vital role in developing a comprehensive M&E framework for the CHI initiative. This involves designing and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reporting tools that meet the needs of the project. Additionally, integrating the M&E system with Health Information Systems (HIS)/Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems will ensure seamless data flow.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for generating evidence to support refinement and scale-up of the CHI initiative. Your strong technical expertise in designing M&E frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and digital reporting systems will be essential in driving project success.
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or equivalent, with at least 10 years of experience in health systems M&E. Strong analytical thinking, results-based monitoring, data interpretation, and digital systems application skills are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive M&E framework for the CHI initiative.
- Design and develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools that meet the needs of the project.
- Integrate the M&E system with HIS/EMR systems to ensure seamless data flow.
