Job Description

The role of Credit Controller involves optimizing customer experience and managing credit risk in accordance with company policies, working closely with sales teams and operational/commercial departments. This position is based at our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and report on aged debtors to ensure timely payments.
  • Analyze regular visit reports from the credit control team to identify areas for improvement.
  • E nsure that the team sends regular outstanding statements to customers and resolves any discrepancies between ledgers.
  • Conduct fortnightly meetings with the sales team to discuss slow-paying customers or potential discrepancies.
  • Implement proactive customer communication strategies to manage timely credit and collections activities and enhance working capital performance.
  • Regularly review processes and procedures to reduce debtor days and improve cash flow.
  • Evaluate credit applications and credit references to set credit limits and assess creditworthiness.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in end-to-end credit control and accounts receivable processes is essential.
  • Familiarity with credit law and regulations is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, especially during complex negotiations with customers.
  • Able to build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Multitasking skills are a must.
  • A degree in accounting or a related field, such as ICMAP or ACCA, is highly desirable.
