Estate Planning and Probate Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to represent clients in legal proceedings, managing caseloads of Elder Law and Estate Planning cases. This role involves meeting with clients, leading teams, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.

About the Role

A typical day will involve interacting with clients, coordinating with support staff, and handling administrative tasks to ensure smooth practice operations and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, drafting estate planning documents, and negotiating settlements for legal disputes.
  • Draft and prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, and guardianship pleadings.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations related to elder law and estate planning.
  • Manage administrative functions to maintain efficient practice operations and high client satisfaction levels.
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes and resolve cases effectively.
Qualifications
  • Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Minimum of 4 years of legal experience, preferably in elder law and/or estate planning.
  • Familiarity with various legal documents related to estate planning and elder law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and establish trust.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • An ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Amicus Attorney Case Management Software is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to convey confidence in person, on the phone, and in court.
  • Demonstrates empathy for clients, providing reassurance during challenging times.
  • Detail-oriented, ensuring quality and precision in all tasks.
  • Outcome-oriented with a focus on delivering results.
  • Stable, with strong processes and a structured approach to work.
  • Team-oriented, cooperative, and collaborative with colleagues.
  • Honesty and commitment to maintaining ethical and trustworthy actions in all professional dealings.
